Rick Tiller – Winner of the 2021 ACEC-NL President’s Award
On Wednesday June 23rd 2021 the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of Newfoundland and Labrador awarded its second annual President’s award. The award recognizes individuals for their lifetime contributions to the advancement of the consulting engineering profession and industry in Newfoundland & Labrador. This year the award was presented to Rick Tiller.
“It is an honour and a privilege for me to present this award to Rick today. Rick was my structural engineering project supervisor while completing the final term of my engineering degree at MUN. Our paths have crossed on a few occasions since then, usually in serving on various boards or event panning committees. I have always known Rick to be someone who is willing to get involved and anyone who knows him can speak strongly to that. Rick has been an avid supporter of ACEC on the local and national levels, having served terms as board President at both levels, providing strong representation with unwavering passion and enthusiasm for the consulting industry. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and am proud to say he played a mentoring role in my career. Congratulations Rick! You are a most deserving recipient of this Award and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to present it to you!” said Mark Stuckless, P. Eng, President of the board of ACEC-NL.
